The Martin 000-28E Modern Deluxe model acoustic guitar conceals a host of next-level features that become truly evident in person. With a development process lasting over a year and a half, Martin’s Modern Deluxe guitars are packed with custom-shop inspired features, elevating both its sonic excellence and playability. 

The 000-28E Modern Deluxe starts with a Sitka Spruce Top treated using Martin's VTS (Vintage Tone System). This process advances a brand new piece of wood to having the look and sound of a well-aged guitar—a true "broken in" feel. The VTS Sitka top is reinforced with forward shifted scalloped Adirondack spruce "X" bracing.

Its genuine mahogany neck features a Vintage Deluxe profile with High Performance Taper, satin finish, and Ebony fingerboard. Exclusive to the Modern Deluxe fretboard is a seemingly gold fretwire, actually a nickel/copper alloy tested stronger than standard Martin frets, offering both durability and a touch of gold hue. This pairs seamlessly with its gold Waverly open gear tuners - a long-standing favorite feature among vintage guitar enthusiasts. 

Another spec unique to the Modern Deluxe is the bridge pins, crafted in collaboration with Liquidmetal. These pins, made from a titanium alloy, were tested at Martin to enhance a guitar's volume by approximately 3-5 dB. A red dot insignia visually distinguishes Liquidmetal bridge pins from standard ones.

Adding to its uniqueness, the D18 Modern Deluxe incorporates a Torrefied Adirondack Spruce bridge plate with Carbon Fiber reinforcement on both sides. This innovative approach introduces a touch of extra brightness and remarkable stability to the already rich tonal properties of Adirondack Spruce.

This guitar is factory equipped with a Fishman Aura VT Blend electronics system, highlighting the guitar's natural resonance and tactility in the extremely likely electric performance setting.

A final distinctive touch on the 000-28E Modern Deluxe is its European Flame Maple binding with bold Herringbone detail. Among the various Modern Deluxe models, European Flame Maple is the exclusive choice for 28-series guitars in this lineup.
