What makes it especially meaningful is the woven inscription along the upper edge, which includes a name and the date 12-2-948, believed to mark the day the rug was completed — a beautiful reminder that this textile was made by a specific person, at a specific moment in time.

The palette is soft yet lively, built around dusty rose, antique gold, warm peach, faded coral, and charcoal. The colors have mellowed over time into a harmonious, powdery warmth that feels inviting rather than bold.
