Blooming Grace/Love Calcutta Arts | Fair Trade | Survivor-made in India

LCA employs around 30 young women, ages 17 to 45, who complete three months of training before handcrafting beautiful goods made from leather, repurposed saris, canvas, and other textiles. For these women, LCA is more than a workplace—it’s a family and a lifeline, offering financial independence, self-worth, and the opportunity to build a brighter future for themselves and their children. Rooted in the transformative love of Jesus, LCA cultivates joy, security, and purpose by providing true freedom from the sex trade and breaking cycles of generational bondage. Through weekly cell groups led by local pastors and Sunday evening open church services, each woman is empowered to grow spiritually as well as professionally, designing a better tomorrow through dignified work and restored hope.

Blooming Grace Boutiques works alongside organizations around the world who focus on creating dignified jobs for vulnerable individuals. This empowers people and communities, providing them with the financial independence necessary to break free from exploitation.

We offer amazing hand-crafted items made by these artisans formerly in vulnerable situations. This approach not only addresses the root causes of trafficking but also fosters long-term economic growth and stability.

Our goal is to create a way for all people to join together and help vulnerable communities in the United States and around the world.

Answers Many Questions about Naval Developments
Format: Hardcover
The history offers a detailed and well organized account of the Royal Navy as it transitioned from sail to steam. Coverage included personalities, technology, tactics and strategy. The combination provided a complete appreciation of the dynamics at play, some unexpectedly. The details might be a bit much for a casual reader but offered plenty of avenues for research not available or compiled in one source. I look forward to the final volume, which should describe another watershed era.

Great Book with a different perspective
Format: Hardcover
This will be a short review of a very long book. I ordered the book expecting more of a history of the British Navy, but this is more of a history of Britain with respect to its navy. It is still excellent and authoritative, just different than I expected. I really appreciate a somewhat different perspective than I have found in some other books. For example, any discussion of Jackie Fisher I have read previously seemed to border on the hagiographic, whereas here he seems to get a very evenhanded appraisal. A great book, highly recommended.
