To even further enable a better breathing engine, our norm-setting inlet ducts can be purchased alongside these products.
The intercooler kit MERA and the y-pipe are great products on their own. Used together they generate a great inlet temperature reduction, less backpressure throughout the whole system and thereby allowing more power.

About the intercoolers:
MERA as in more, means more cooling, better airflow, more performance. Simply, MERA!
Upon launching this intercooler kit back in 2018, we chose to go with a Tube&fin core, enabling great cooling and airflow paired with a low weight. It has proved very well over the years, featured on various 1000 HP builds. In the spring of 2022, it´s time for the next phase in the constant development of do88 products. After thorough testing, we chose to move over to a Bar&Plate, motorsport-grade core from Garrett, thus bringing this already highly effective upgrade to the next level.
Differences to our previous version:
- 13% higher airflow compared to our previous version.
- New, lighter airduct made from real prepreg carbon.
- 3,1 kg weight increase per intercooler compared to the previous do88 intercoolers.
All in all, the weight increase compared to the OEM units is relatively small considering the sheer size of the intercoolers, and the fact that it´s an all-aluminum, dense construction. Our intercooler weight is 8,5 kg (18,74 lbs) per piece and the 991 OEM intercooler weighs 3,10 kg (6,83 lb) per piece. As much as it may seem in terms of weight increase, it is more than well compensated for if we consider the performance gain these intercoolers provide!
About the Y-pipe:
In the beginning of the development process of this product we spent a lot of time thinking what would be the preferred way to build a Y-pipe and here is the result of our conclusions and development process! Our pipe have both a very good flow rate and a low weight which is accommodated by composing mandrel bent lightweight pipes with a high quality 3D freeform designed cast joint between them. Onto the cast part we then welded CNC-machined connections for bov and breather hoses.
This construction adds a lot of performance but only a tad of extra weight.
Performance:
When it comes down to performance, the do88 bigpack significantly reduce the intake temperature! In the graph below the difference towards the OEM 991 units is presented. The data is collected with an AIM race logger under 5 consecutive runs in an immediate sequence. Full throttle accelerations between 50-250 km/h (30-155 mph) in a Stage 1 tuned Porsche 991. No cooldown in between, just full pull. During every test, the car was driven in Sport Plus, AC off.
The test was conducted in the following manner:
Firstly, 5 runs were made with the car equipped with OEM intercoolers. Stop, fast change of parts to the do88 intercoolers. Shakedown for a few minutes and then 5 runs made in the exact same way as with the OEM parts. The decrease in inlet air temperature is significant, peak delta is 17°C (30,6 F) see the graph below!
Cooling is important, and so is airflow. After many hours in the development, refining the end tanks and choosing a core to meet our demand, the result is an intercooler that is much more efficient in terms of heat transfer as well as airflow. Using our in-house Superflow SF-1020 Probench, the airflow is verified as a complete system with both intercoolers, hoses and y-pipe for both the do88 bigpack and the OEM 991 units. What you see is what you get true performance!

Slow, sorry but good

This was a slow moving book. Lots of character pov chapters, lots of superfluous descriptions and endless courtly appearances stalled this book to start. Once you get into the heart of the story, it takes off. Before you know it the book is done. My favorite character is Reyna. She is so strong. She is true to herself. She gets into a lot of trouble with her headstrong ways but it's entertaining. I have high hopes for Lorcan. He is honorable to a fault. Thane had turned out to be better than I thought but i still don't like him. Eislin is useless. Great plot twists at the end. I'm looking forward too book 2.

Very detailed! Beautiful world building! Strong Heroine!

Starts off a little slow and confusing with different POV’s, but starts to all come together towards the middle to make an elaborate plot line and makes it all worth it. Beautiful world building and attention to detail as well as great writing. The cliffhanger was gut wrenching! Can’t wait for the next book!

Interesting
Format: Kindle
This was a very captivating book once you got into it thoroughly. But the third person perspective was a bit hard to get used to. But as you got into it and followed the different characters, it was interesting and filled with intrigue, conflict and forbidden love.
I can’t wait to read the next one and to complete the series.

LOVED THIS STORY!

I never wite reviews, but this book was too good for me to NOT give props and let others readers know it's such a good read. They need to make movies of this one and I can't wait until the next book comes out. The story building was so good and I loved that the main character wasn't a silly useless princess or something. Shes intelligent, strong, and loves her friends. The description of the characters is really good also and its such a good plot. Not your average paranormal romance novel of some princess or the girl working at a diner. LOL! I'm totally team Rykan for her! Fingers crossed for the next book and October 31st can't come soon enough.

Imperfect characters

I don't really understand the harsh criticism in some of these reviews (Goodreads). I rarely write reviews myself, but I think this book deserves it.
Look, it absolutely has its issues. I wasn't feeling it in the beginning -- the first few chapters were all tell and no show, literally just telling us all this background in a few paragraphs rather than feeding us bits and pieces at a time. The writing significantly improves after a few chapters, though. And I didn't catch any spelling or grammatical typos often found in new, self published books.
After the rough start, I absolutely flew through the rest of the book and couldn't put it down. Seriously stayed up until 2am with it. So I also don't agree with comments calling it boring. Definitely did not bore me. I thought it ticked all the right boxes: romance, fantasy, a magic system, tragedy, fate, character growth.
A lot of the poor reviews I'm seeing are in regards to the FMC's character. Personally, I like flawed characters and think it's more realistic than reading the POV of someone who always makes the right decisions, is always honest, is always selfless, etc. Humans aren't like that. Readers love when male leads are morally grey, but God forbid a woman isn't perfect.
So I like flawed characters and I like a little bit of tragedy, which the author provides. Ends on a cliffhanger, and I can't wait to read the sequel next month. I really want to learn more about Malachi.
All in all, not a bad start from this author. Give it a chance.
SOMEWHAT SPOILERY:
I LOVE the concept of fated mates that kind of hate each other. Most books with the fated mates trope allow the characters to immediately fall for each other and get together relatively easily. But this is way more interesting ;)
