This Fender Custom Shop Limited Edition '54 Stratocaster is a marvel of the Fender Custom Shop's ability to relic an instrument, celebrating 70 years of this iconic instrument.
The ash body of this Strat is made two pieces, sorted for optimal weight and resonance, featuring two deep Strat cutaways and a comfy rib contour. The neck, expertly carved from 5/4 sawn maple, boasts a unique compound fingerboard radius ranging from 7.25" to 9.5", topped with Micarta Black wide spaced inlays and Medium Jumbo frets. The connection to the body is secured with a 4-bolt plate, complete with a distinctive serial number.
Sonically driving this instrument, are the three Fender Custom Shop '54 Strat pickups embedded inside. These pickups deliver the iconic twang and quack that define the vintage Fender sound, with vintage-style controls and relic'd hardware.
Every detail of this instrument speaks to the legacy of excellence synonymous with the Fender Custom Shop, however, the finish on this one is what makes it stand out the most: a Fender Custom Shop Super Heavy Relic treatment that emulates the wear and tear of an instrument that's been gigged with routinely since it building in the '50s.
