What is Hyoscyamus niger Powder?
Hyoscyamus niger, often known as “Khurasani Ajwain” or “Indian Henbane” has been used in Ayurvedic and Unani medicine for worm infestation, colic pain, abdominal lump, loss of appetite and spleen disease. It has delirium, fecal astringent, appetizer, digestive, semen-reducing, analgesic, and sleep-inducing properties.
The seeds are naturally sundried, hygienically grind, and packed on an order basis, and comes in powder form.
How to Use & Dosage
- Take ½ to 1 teaspoon (approx. 2–5 g) of the powder once daily with lukewarm water after dinner or just before bed
- If you are taking this herb first time, then start with ½ teaspoon for the first week and monitor how your body responds.
- For best results stay consistent for 4–6 weeks.
Precautions
- This herb has very strong active compounds, must be used with caution.
- Do not use if you have any of these conditions, pregnant, breastfeeding, glaucoma, urinary retention, tachycardia or serious heart/vascular condition.
- Always stick with recommended dose, overdose may cause dizziness, dryness of mouth or visual disturbances.
- It is not recommended for children under 12.
