Dropping in from the fabled California shop is this Fender Custom Shop ’69 Stratocaster Relic – slick, stylish and ready for action. This FCS Stratocaster, gussied up with a captivating British Racing Green over 3-Color Sunburst finish, combines two iconic colors with the Custom Shop’s Relic finish treatment. On this Custom Shop piece, the Relic finish treatment materializes in chips and scrapes across the body in the green areas and sunburst areas for a total aesthetic implying a storied lineage. This Custom Shop Strat embodies so much of what makes Custom Shop guitars thrilling for any player to cross its path.

This Fender Custom Shop ’69 Stratocaster Relic begins with a two-piece alder body in a 69 Strat style, sorted for weight. Resulting in a solid weight in hand, this Strat feels classic and sturdy. Its lacquer body finish dashed across the double-cutaway alder is endlessly rich and enthrallingly deep, exposing some bare alder wood grain in certain areas.

The alder body is paired with a 5/4 quartersawn maple neck shaped in a 1969 “U” profile to form the basis of the iconic Stratocaster shape. Comfortable and giving this Strat a smooth playing experience in the left hand, this neck plays a big part in this Custom Shop’s overall one-of-a-kind presentation. This maple meets up with a 9mm AAA rosewood fingerboard featuring twenty-one frets fitted with unique 45085 Vintage Upgrade fret wire. The overall radius of the fingerboard measures at 7.25”. 7mm Mother of Pearl facedots line the rosewood while 3/32” Mother of Pearl side dots accompany. This Strat’s Large style headstock, lined with Shaller F-Key Relic tuning keys, tops off this quartersawn maple neck, which measures .850” at the first fret and .910” at the twelfth.

Audibly, this Custom Shop Stratocaster comes to life with a harmonious arrangement of single-coils. Stratocaster Texas Special single-coil pickups can be found in the neck, middle and bridge positions, outfitted with 250K 10% taper split pots for dialing in some unique Strat tonality. This tonal experience is enhanced by further appointments and playability specifications including an American Vintage Strat tremolo bridge with a Relic finish treatment and a bone nut measuring 1.650”. This guitar ships with a Fender Custom Shop Black hardshell case.

Delivering both a classy English vibe with the British Racing Green finish and a sunny Californian vibe with its three-color sunburst, the Fender Custom Shop presents an intriguing clash of aesthetics for any player find a match with. Tonally and visually, this Custom Shop delivers.

Must Read for Serious Bible Students
Format: Kindle
Grasping God’s Word has become an invaluable resource for my exegesis students. One of them said it best: “I’ll never read the Bible the same way after reading this.”

A true game changer!!
Format: Hardcover
This book will singlehandedly transform the way you study the bible. If you've been scratching your head while reading the bible or have looked at your devotional time as a sort of chore, this book will give you the tools you need to become a student of scripture and be able to focus on the meat of the bible when all you've been previously getting is pureed baby food lol. Don't be intimated by the fact that this textbook is used in some colleges and seminaries; it is highly approachable to the layperson. The assignments at the end of each chapter are exceptionally well thought out and helpful in reinforcing the concepts that are taught. I highly suggest doing them as you read along. This is the only book I've read that gets down and dirty with the concepts and explains them in a way that will give you plenty of "a-ha!" moments along the way. I've read so many books on studying/interpreting the bible, and this one is hands down the best one to give you a solid foundation. To quote from the book, "Study the bible not just to learn more about God but to know and love Him more." Buy this book; you won't regret it.

Learn to grasp God’s word
Format: Hardcover
This book is awesome for any Christian wanting to learn more about how to interpret CORRECTLY and understand the Bible, God’s Word, which was written thousands of years ago to a different culture and period but want to learn how to apply it to today, without taking any of it out of context, which many people do today. If you have ever read scripture and asked yourself why a loving God allowed a specific event in the Bible to occur or thought that verse is irrelevant to today, you NEED this book! The Bible is the only book ever written that can span millenniums and be as equally relevant to every culture and time period throughout history. This is not an easy read but a necessary one if you want to strengthen your walk with Jesus, our savior.

Not bad; not your father's hermeneutics construct, however
Format: Hardcover
Very different approach to hermeneutics. I think their five step construct, or "journey," is a little more complicated than it needs to be. On the other hand, the construct is helpful to the layman because it gets the reader to recognize that the biblical cultural-historical-theological frame of reference needs to be understood in today's sense before an accurate interpretation can be rendered and then properly (or correctly) applied. Rather than send the reader to a plethora of works that offer such explanations, the authors should consider adding a chapter that provides an explanation on the most common differences between then and now on the subject and leave the reader to seek more detail in these other works. As it is, I feel left wanting for this understanding. Now, I like the videos of each chapter in the electronic edition; most of these do a good job communicating the chapter.
