12-Speed Universal Bicycle Chain with Quick Link (126 Links)

Key Features

  • Ultra-Narrow High-Performance Design: Specifically engineered with a narrow pin width (~5.25mm) to navigate the tight spacing of 12-speed cassettes, ensuring lightning-fast shifting and preventing chain-to-cog interference.
  • Anti-Rust & Wear-Resistant Coating: Features a premium silver nickel or chrome plating that protects the steel from environmental corrosion and reduces friction, extending the life of both the chain and your drivetrain components.
  • Precision Chamfered Plates: The outer and inner plates are manufactured with high-accuracy beveled edges (Double-X Bridge) to facilitate smoother "ramping" and more silent gear transitions under heavy pedaling loads.
  • Reinforced High-Torque Pins: Utilizes hardened chromoly steel pins with specialized riveting to handle the extreme lateral stress and high-torque requirements of 1x12 mountain bike and gravel systems.
  • 126-Link Extended Length: Provided in a 126-link length, making it long enough for modern long-cage derailleurs and massive 10-52T wide-range cassettes without the need for additional links.

Replaces / Cross-Reference Part Numbers

  • Shimano Standards: CN-M6100 (Deore), CN-M7100 (SLX), CN-M8100 (XT), CN-M9100 (XTR).
  • SRAM Standards: PC-GX Eagle, PC-X01 Eagle, PC-XX1 Eagle (12-Speed MTB).
  • KMC Equivalents: KMC X12, X12 Ti-N, X12 Black Tech.
  • Specifications: 1/2" x 11/128" (Standard 12-speed pitch), 126 Links.

Compatibility & Fitment

This chain is a universal 12-speed solution designed for high-end modern drivetrains across all terrains:

  • Mountain Bike (MTB): Fully compatible with Shimano 12-Speed (Hyperglide+) and SRAM Eagle (1x12) systems (NX, GX, X01, XX1).
  • Road & Gravel: Direct fit for Shimano 105 R7100, Ultegra R8100, and Dura-Ace R9200, as well as SRAM 12-speed mechanical and Eagle AXS systems.
  • Campagnolo: Compatible with Campagnolo Record and Super Record 12-speed groupsets.
  • Drivetrain Brands: Works seamlessly with Shimano, SRAM, Campagnolo, and MicroSHIFT 12-speed components.
  • Note on SRAM AXS Road: While this chain fits most 12-speed systems, it is not a "Flattop" chain. It is compatible with SRAM Eagle (MTB) but not recommended for SRAM RED/Force AXS Road groupsets which require the Flattop profile.

When to Replace

  • 0.5% Wear Threshold: **CRITICAL:** 12-speed drivetrains have very tight tolerances. Use a chain checker tool; if the chain reaches 0.5% wear, replace it immediately. Waiting until 0.75% will often cause irreparable wear to your expensive 12-speed cassette.
  • Shifting Hesitation: You experience slow or noisy shifts into larger cogs, even after a fresh derailleur adjustment and cable tensioning.
  • Chain "Suck": The chain fails to release from the chainring and gets pulled up into the frame, usually caused by worn rollers or stiff, rusted links.
  • High Mileage: Under normal conditions, a high-quality 12-speed chain typically requires replacement every 1,000 to 2,000 miles depending on lubrication frequency and riding terrain.
  • Visible Damage: Look for cracked outer plates or pins that appear to be backing out, which can occur under the extreme lateral loads of 12-speed shifting.

Installation Tips

  • Proper Sizing is Key: Do not use all 126 links. Compare the new chain to your old one or use the "Big-to-Big + 2-4 Links" method (wrap the chain around the largest cog and largest ring, bypassing the derailleur) to find the correct length.
  • Directional Installation: Many 12-speed chains are directional. Ensure the logos or text on the plates are facing outward (away from the bike) to ensure proper shifting ramp alignment.
  • Quick Link Seating: Use the included 12-speed Master Link for the final connection. To lock it securely, position the link in the top run of the chain, hold the rear brake, and apply firm downward pressure on the pedal until you hear a "click."
  • Degrease the Factory Film: **PRO TIP:** Wipe off the sticky factory "shipping grease" with a rag and degreaser before your first ride. Apply a high-quality 12-speed specific dry or wet lube to keep the narrow rollers moving freely.
  • Check B-Gap: After installing a new chain, it is the perfect time to check your derailleur's "B-gap" (the distance between the upper pulley and the largest cog) using the manufacturer's gauge to ensure crisp shifting.

Very comfy
Size: X-Large, Color: White
I'm a size US Mens 14 with huge calves. Finding comfortable crew socks can be somewhat difficult. These are extremely comfortable, very stretchy and soft. Very worth the price.

I use these exclusively for when I'm hiking, cycling and walking ( exercising )
Size: X-Large, Color: Black
5.7.2019 Update: I have probably five packs of 3 of these socks. Can't explain it but recent pairs I've been using have lasted longer than previous two packs ( 6 socks )... So I'm going to get some more... They are my #1 go to sock for cycling, hiking, climbing, walking ( serious, training, speed, distance )... 10.30.19: I use these exclusively for when I'm hiking, cycling anqd walking ( exeqrcising )... They are light, comfortable, keep feet dry, cool & comfortable... They don't shift around on feet. They stay put once put on and running, climbing or cycling shoes are put on and laced up or ratched... I do a lot of hill climbing and also use on terrain where there's lots of long periods ( hours ) going up & hours going down... They don't appear to be very durable, get holes in toe or holes in heels, but 3 pack is relatively inexpensive so I continue to buy them. I do not use them for everyday casual wear because they would wear out very quickly compared to other similar sockets...

These socks are just OK. One arrived with a hole (easily sewn up, but kind of bummed about that). I prefer the Under Armour Resistor socks - they have support built into the socks that you actually can feel, and they were same price for 6 pairs!
