Huntley Sedgwick Bridle Leather

Huntley Equestrian’s Bridle leather is skillfully produced by J & E Sedgwick & Co. in England, the world’s premier saddle leather tannery.  Sedgwick carefully selects only the highest-quality cowhides.  Sedgwick’s superior tanning methods and meticulous quality control measures make it the best bridle leather in the world.

Sedgwick traditional bridle leather is an open grain leather (not sealed) and has a high shine finish due to the care and attention it receives as it works its way through the various Sedgwick processes in polishing, dying, and finishing.  Sedgwick uses natural oils and fats during the leather tanning process.  The Bridle leather is infused with natural cod oils and tallow fats in the fiber structure to ensure that the fibers are lubricated and do not dry.  This process eliminates the need to further oil the leather before using.  This preparation results in leather that is flexible, supple and resilient with a high tensile strength.

Conditioning and Caring for Huntley Sedgwick Bridle Leather

Conditioning and caring for the Huntley Sedgwick Bridle leather is very important to the rider and horse.  Sedgwick Leather that is properly cared for will provide a safe ride and years of use for the equine athlete.

Using synthetic oils, solvents, and fixatives on Sedgwick leather will break down the fibrous structure of the leather.  Dipping or soaking Sedgwick leather in oil will damage the leather by oversaturating the leather fibers and will cause the sealed edge, along the raised sections of the bridle, to dissolve.

DO NOT USE HOT OIL, DIP OR SOAK BRIDLE LEATHER IN OIL, OR “STRIP” BRIDLE LEATHER

NEW LEATHER CARE INSTRUCTIONS

  1. Always check the fit of the bridle before treating with leather care
  2. Apply a healthy coat of Huntley Sedgwick Leather care to both the grain (top) and flesh (back) of each piece of leather using a sponge or towel
  3. Allow to dry, apply an additional coat of Huntley Sedgwick leather care if needed.
  4. When dry to the touch, buff with a soft, dry cloth.
  5. Place leather in a bridle bag, store in a climate-controlled environment, away from dust

DAILY CARE AND MAINTENANCE

  1. Clean off dirt, sweat and hair with a clean towel after each ride
  2. Carefully dampen a sponge or towel with water
  3. Squeeze excess water out of sponge or towel
  4. Gently clean each piece of leather with a natural glycerin soap or saddle soap
  5. Wipe off any excess soap with a clean towel
  6. Place leather in a bridle bag, store in a climate-controlled environment, away from dust

If bridle leather feels dry, has been exposed to inclement weather, or a damp environment, apply Huntley Equestrian Sedgwick Leather Care to the leather.  Allow leather to dry.  Apply an additional coat of leather care if needed.

Beautiful watch but flawed
Color: Gold Face/Gold Band, Color: Gold Face/Gold Band
This is a decent quality watch for the price. Been wearing daily for a few months now. It has maintained its color and been resistant to scratches. The sub dials are a fully functional timer/chronograph. Calendar is great addition. The band is good quality with tight fit. Mine came with a sizing tool which was awesome. Removed 3 links for a perfect fit. Not a big fan of the butterfly latch on the band as it can release when you bend your hand down, but for the look and price, I don't mind. Unfortunately, the other day, I took the family to Lake Tahoe where I slipped into the water at the shore. It was about a foot deep and soaked my clothes but no big deal. Shortly after I checked the time and saw water on the inside of the glass. I then noticed the reset button for the chronograph had fallen out. I thought it must have been from falling into the water though I couldn't understand how my wrist could have jarred the button out. When I got home, I found the button on the floor in front of the watch box that I keep it in. This means it just randomly fell out. It pushes back in but can be easily removed and the chronograph no longer works at all. The watch still runs but the water doesn't seem to want to dry out. Very disappointed as I really liked this watch. I wanted to contact Olevs about the 12 month quality warranty they claim on Amazon but couldn't find a way to contact them directly on Amazon. No contact info or links. The only options were product and seller feedback. Oh, and an address in China. Not much help. Glad to revise my review if the seller reaches out.

Stunning Automatic Watch With TopTier Durability and Precision
Color: Grey
“I got this Tissot PRX for my cousin’s birthday and bro fell in LOVE instantly. This thing keeps time like a beast, never slows down, never lags. Automatic movement, so no batteries, no drama. Durability? Stupid good. You can hit it, bump it, live life rough, it still looks box fresh. Size wise it was almost perfect. I just had to remove two links, nothing big. It’s light, functional, comfortable, doesn’t weigh you down, doesn’t get in the way but more importantly I can say this watch is in everyone’s eyesight when we wear it. Cause of course I had to get another one! Basically. I gave him a very nice piece as a gift, and now he’s walking around like he owns Switzerland.

Excellent value for an automatic watch, keeps VERY good time.
Color: Grey, Color: Grey
I've only had the watch for a day but wanted to leave a quick review on it to share a couple of notes. So far it keeps VERY good time, better than any of the automatics I own (including a Rolex Submariner, Tag Heuer Aquaracer, Tag Heuer Formula One, and several other sub $1k watches). I set it to an atomic time app on my phone yesterday and 24 hours later it's still SPOT on - hasn't gained/lost even a 1/10 of a second. I was shocked to see it's kept PERFECT time for the last day, I'm really blown away so far. I've worn it the entire time, we'll see how well it keeps time while being stored in a winder. This picture shown is the watch with a 22mm leather band on it, fit's without any issues (just need to squeeze in the leather a tad). I doubt it would work with a 22mm metal bracelet, but leather works great. Just FYI since the 21mm lug width is kind of odd. The face isn't quite a lustrious as the images make it look, but it's still a great-looking watch. For a sub $1000 automatic you can't go wrong, this is a fantastic watch at a great price. It'll be my daily driver for some time I'm sure. If I have any issues in the future I'll update the review.

It looks really cool and striking.

Really cool and beautiful watch. Although my specific unit runs 5 seconds fast every day—at first it’s annoying, but eventually you stop caring. 🤣
