Noor Al Qamar is inspired by the quiet presence of moonlight and the stillness it brings to a space. Each candle is poured into a sculpted ceramic vessel designed to be kept, turning light and scent into a lasting object of calm and reflection.
Created in collaboration with House of Raw, a UAE-based ceramic studio, the vessel reflects a shared appreciation for craftsmanship, texture and thoughtful design. The candle is infused with Akun’s Signature Oud, a house blend developed in-house, offering depth and warmth that unfolds gently over time.
Scent Notes: Oud, Smoky woods, Soft resin, Warm spice
About the Brand
Akun began as an idea to create something meaningful, blending design and culture in a way that people could feel connected to. With her background in architecture and design, Amera Al Awadhi wanted to craft pieces that carried both beauty and emotion, something that would reflect the spirit of Arab hospitality.
Around that time, her mother was diagnosed with Alzheimer’s. The idea of Akun suddenly became more than a creative pursuit. It became personal. Candle making turned into a shared ritual between them, a quiet space filled with scent, light and care. In those moments, Amera saw how something simple could bring comfort, presence and memory together.
From that experience, Akun found its purpose. It became a way to give meaning through creation and to keep the warmth of home alive in every piece.
