Marcie Turner Pula (also known as Marcia) was born in 1973 and comes from Utopia Community in Central Australia. Utopia is a well-known Aboriginal community that has produced some of the most talented contemporary Aboriginal artists including the famous and highly collectible Emily Kame Kngwarreye.

Marcie is the daughter of Margaret Turner Petyarre (who sadly passed away in 2009) and it was through her mother that Marcie learned her skills and Dreaming stories. Marcie has also been under the guidance of well-known and collectible artists Kathleen and Gloria Petyarre. Marcie has been considered one of the up-and-coming talents of the Utopian women artists in Central Australia however she has not spent a great deal of time painting in recent years.

Women’s Ceremony Dreaming
Aboriginal culture locates ‘Dreamtime’ as the beginning of all knowledge, from which came the laws of existence. All activities and ways of life- ritual, ceremony, and duty relate to this ‘Dreamtime’. Knowledge concerning this beginning of time is sacred and passed down from one generation to the next via ceremony, stories, dance, and imagery. Everything in the natural world is a symbolic footprint of the metaphysical beings whose actions created the world. After full tribal initiation, all men and some women own a ‘dreaming’ and are thus charged with their custodial responsibilities to preserve and pass on this sacred knowledge.

Women's Dreamings tell the story of the journeys of female ancestors. Many of the stories are allied to knowledge relating to desert survival; bush tucker and wildlife food, the importance of medicines, and female knowledge. Similar to men, women have important religious status and possess their own land tracts and ground designs. During the sacred women's Ceremonies, participants paint their breasts, shoulders and upper arms, and face with patterned designs relating to a particular dream. Adorning their bodies is a process; women smear their bodies with animal fat and then using a variety of powders ground from charcoal, red and yellow ochre, imagery is traced onto the body. Different symbols are painted onto the body according to the ceremony subject, time of year, and the persons ranking within the social hierarchy. Songs are sung re-iterating ancient journey cycles that pass knowledge but also draw the ancient ancestors closer to the community. Occasionally, women will dance and re-enact those journeys, dancing and moving their feet through the sand leaving a symbolic pathway.

The Dreaming religion is Aboriginal history, spirit-belief, ancestral knowledge, legend, and culture transformed into a language that has no written words or records beyond memory itself.

Worth every penny
Size: USB C to Ethernet Adapter
This adapter provides a stable, hardwired connection when Wi-Fi is not fast enough for heavy law school research. It is strictly plug and play, requiring no software installation. The weight is negligible, making it easy to keep in my bag for campus. Given the excellent build quality and consistent functionality without any drop-offs, it offers solid value for money. It’s perfectly versatile for numerous uses (keeps me from having to use like 3 other dongles)

Works brilliantly with Steam Deck!
Size: USB C to Ethernet Adapter, Size: USB C to Ethernet Adapter
I bought this specifically for a Valve Steam Deck. I recently got a gigabit fiber connection and wanted to take full advantage of it when downloading games on the Deck. I took a gamble on this adapter knowing that Linux generally has incredible driver support without much, if any, configuring. I installed it into the Steam Deck's USB-C port, hooked the other end up to my network switch, and the Steam Deck instantly registered a new wired connection. I didn't even have to go into "Desktop Mode" for it; it all worked flawlessly in the "Gaming Mode". I downloaded a 15GB game in about 3 minutes with the Deck maxing out at 880Mbps. The device itself seems well built with a braided cable and gray anodized aluminum enclosures on each end. It's small and compact so it'll fit nicely in the Steam Deck case's little pouch or in that drawer that every house has that's full of cables, adapters, and dongles. It seems as though it's good value for money as well, like every Anker product I've purchased, but time will tell if something goes screwy down the line.

Great way to connect my Ethernet to my MacBook Pro....
Size: USB C to Ethernet Adapter
Needed to direct connect to my Modem / Router, but my MacBook Pro, being more modern, and slimmer, doesn't have an Ethernet port anymore (thank goodness). This worked perfectly; just plugged it in and ripped...definitely Plug-n-Play for my Mac. Quality is good (what else do you expect from Anker).

Easy to use Plug and Play
Size: USB C to Ethernet Adapter
The item works great. I was having issues with video conference calls even with strong wifi in my house. I bought this adapter due to my HP laptop not having an Ethernet port. This worked great right out of the box. It was detected automatically and as soon as I plugged the Ethernet cable into the adapter, my laptop immediately switched over to that and my internet became more stable.
