Comprised of multiple embossed layers of stainless steel with the outer layers utilizing a Viton rubber coating. Compressed operating thickness is 0.040". Cometic MLS (Multi-Layer Steel) Head Gaskets provide maximum sealing performance for todays high output engines and require no sealants. MLS gaskets are ideal for both aluminum heads to aluminum blocks and aluminum heads to cast iron blocks. They can withstand the shearing force created by the two materials. MLS gaskets have increased strength because they are comprised of multiple layers of stainless steel; which also creates the ability to rebound and resist corrosion. The outer layers are embossed and coated on both sides with Viton (a flour elastomer rubber based material that is heat resistant to 250 C/ 482 F). Viton is designed to meet the demands of a variety of harsh sealing environments, load conditions, and surface finishes. The center or shim layer is uncoated stainless steel, which can be varied to accommodate multiple thickness requirements.

  • The embossed outer layers of the gaskets meet the demands of a variety of harsh sealing environments, load conditions, and surface finishes
  • The center or shim layer is an uncoated stainless steel layer which can be varied to accommodate multiple thickness requirements
  • Requires less clamp load creating less bore distortion
  • Conforms load distribution across the sealing area
  • Embossed Outer Layers Coated w/Viton

¿Snake oil? At least it worked for me
Style: Modifier, Style: Modifier
Very cheap compared to buying it locally, here in my country. Used the Ceratec with the Leuchtlauf High Tech oil. 143K miles on my 2.5 mk6 Jetta. It started to make some tappet/lifters noise, very minimal but it was there. As soon as I started the engine, and about 30 minutes in , I could clearly hear the difference. How I heard the difference? With the hood closed now I can barely hear the engine, unless I put my ear close to the grille. Now I only hear the working injectors. Totally recommended. Can’t speak about gas consumption, I’ll have to drive 500-1000 miles to speak confidently. Recommended for giving older engines a longer lifespan. Update: After 15 days or so, and about 150-200miles later, I noticed my Jetta’s engine feels lighter and smoother. No placebo effect, it’s just there. Since I bought two Ceratec bottles, I used the second bottle on a Mitsubishi Outlander Sport with the Mivec 2.0 engine. These engines are quite noisy, specially the injection noises, and I had a very concerning lifters ticking. I did my oil change yesterday, and today the ticking is gone, all I did was use Liquimolys engine flush, Valvoline oil and the Ceratec. I’ll post an update if I get better fuel economy and smoothness on my Mitsu.

Durable and well fitting
Durable and well fitting. I drive a Honda Accord 2014 and when the under engine covers started falling off I used these to replace the ones that came off. They work well and the prying tool made replacing the retainers easier.

This product has many different sizes making it easy to fit clips in other parts of the car.
I was working on my grandson Honda. It was missing the plastic clips to hold the fender liners in place. This worked great and helped hold the fender in place. I used the puller tool many times on other plastic parts on the car.
