The Epiphone Flying V Prophecy reimagines one of the most iconic guitar silhouettes with a modernized spec sheet tailored for high-output performance. A bound maple top with AAA flame veneer tops the mahogany body, creating both visual depth and tonal clarity. The angular body shape retains its classic presence, while refinements under the hood make this a forward-looking instrument rather than a retro showpiece.

Its mahogany neck is carved into an asymmetrical Slim Taper profile, offering speed and comfort along the entire 24.72-inch scale. Twenty-four jumbo frets are set into an ebony fingerboard, featuring custom block-and-triangle inlays of mother-of-pearl and abalone for an aesthetic unique to this series. Grover locking Rotomatic tuners pair with a Graph Tech NuBone XL nut to lock in stability under aggressive bends, wide vibrato, or heavy stage use.

At the core of the electronics are Fishman Fluence Prophecy humbuckers, custom-voiced for Epiphone. These deliver three selectable tonal modes—vintage humbucker warmth, a modern active voice with extra headroom, and a focused single-coil character—each accessible via push/pull controls. Master volume and tone layout keeps the control scheme streamlined, while Epiphone’s LockTone Tune-O-Matic bridge and stop bar maximize sustain and resonance.

Finished in Aged White Tiger Burst, the Flying V Prophecy looks as assertive as it sounds. Supplied with a premium gig bag, it offers a complete package for players who want the unmistakable attitude of a V paired with 21st-century flexibility.

An inspiring take on the story of the Bible and reality.
Format: Kindle
This was an absolute pleasure to read. Oswalt utilizes his knowledge of ancient near east culture and religion to thorough debunk any effort to one might make to pretend that the Bible is of a similar mythology.

Is the Bible Really Unique?
Format: Kindle
Oswalt takes up the question of the uniqueness of the Christian Bible by focusing on the Old Testament (which is also the holy book of the Jews) and its similarities and differences to the myths of the periods in which it was put together. His comparison and contrast make for very interesting reading. He allows the two world views to stand alone, allowing the reader to understand his conclusions without forcing him/her to agree with the author. In reading this book, I also began to notice some very interesting parallels between the ancient worldview of "continuity" (versus the biblical view that Oswalt calls "transcendence") and some modern views being espoused in the Western world. Definitely worth a read whether or not you agree with him. It will help broaden your view both of your view and of the other side's view.

Good Core Content but I won't read it again
Format: Kindle
This book makes a strong stand for the position that the Bible does not fit within the genre of myth. That is the positive aspects of this work. However, this book at times seems somewhat philosophical, it can be hard to follow the author's logic, and it does not adequately cover one of the most fundamental questions the author poses. For example, the question of whether the theology of the Bible should receive special credence if the historical basis it rests on is found to be incorrect is asked, but the answer given is short and does not fully interact with the question which I found to be very disappointing.
