The Maton Guitars EM100 Messiah is a guitar icon in Australia, and features a tried and true tonewood combination of Sitka Spruce and Indian Rosewood. The Maton Guitars EM100C-808 Messiah is the most appointed Maton model without crossing over the line into the Custom Shop production. The Sitka Spruce/Indian Rosewood construction is familiar to us here in the states.

This gently used Messiah 808 Cutaway has had modest play time, with no fret wear, just a few light marks on the pick guard. The smallest imperfections have been documented in photos, otherwise you may never notice them.

Freshly detailed, It is setup to factory specifications with Elixir Phosphor Bronze light gauge strings, and ready to add to your collection. It comes with the Maton Hiscox flight case, Maton leather strap, and truss rod tool.

Sitka is the most popular soundboard species in the world and is articulate with excellent velocity control. Indian Rosewood has a wide sound, giving you bell-like high end sparkle and warmer low end power in the bass register. Combined you get a wonderfully sonic acoustic instrument with strong frequencies across the spectrum.

The Maton Messiah Series is a great alternative tonal register to their native hardwoods. As intended with all Maton guitars, a strong balance across tonal registers, but with more bottom end. Perfect for songwriters!

The proprietary Maton "808" body shape is similar, though slightly smaller that the US OM Model. However, the body depth of the 808 is substantially deeper at 4-7/8". This is significant, as moving the top and back further apart enhances the bass element within the tonal character of the voicing (bracing technique), complimenting the different wood combinations

In its 5th generation, the AP5 Pro features an internal Microphone and 6-Piezo bridge input, with controls that allow for blending of both microphone and piezo levels prior to sending the actively combined signals through the well engineered pre-amp.

The highly selective cardioid microphone system allows for much greater microphone level before feedback in live environments. The upgraded AP5-Pro microphone is direct mounted to the pre-amp casing with an adjustable swing arm, which permits easy final tweaking of microphone position to suit the individual artist's playing style.

Controls are at your fingertips, and their 'resistance curves' have been specially designed and manufactured expressly for the AP5-Pro. As a result, the Bass, Treble and MID are now much more 'linear' in feel. The FQ (Mid Sweep) now goes down much lower and has a much wider frequency band ( 600Hz to 2.4kHz ) to give greater control when targeting your specific sound.
