Historical background:
The Helena was the last Brooklyn class artillery light cruiser of the United States Navy. This class of ship is a product of the 1930 London Naval Treaty.
Due to this treaty only allowing the United States to build two more Washington Treaty type heavy cruisers (CA44 and CA45), in order to counter the expanding naval power of other countries, the United States had to turn to building advantageous light cruisers equipped with 6-inch main guns, which led to the birth of the Brooklyn class.
The Helena inherits the lineage of the Brooklyn class artillery cruiser with powerful firepower. It is equipped with the 47 caliber Mk16 naval gun specially developed by the US Navy for the Brooklyn class.
The turret layout is also exactly the same, with 5 seats in a 3-unit configuration, 3 seats in the front and 2 seats in the back.
