Warlord is known as "the game you already know how to play" due to its use of a d20 and popular TTRPG mechanics. Players build their decks around a Warlord and starting army, commanding their forces in snappy back and forth turn actions using a d20 to resolve spells, attacks, and abilities.
Each Starter is a full size 50 card deck with fixed contents including one Warlord, starting army, and accompanying cards that contribute to the deck's overall strategy. One Starter-exclusive extended art Warlord, one Booster Pack, and one d20 are also included in every Starter Deck.
