What is Death? Alien, yet natural. Inevitable, but unknowable. A terrifying balance. A force of Nature.
As demons spread across the Universe, entire planets become little more than charnel houses. There are worlds where death is a mercy. All living things are bound together; when the will for death is both abundant and focused, a Death Elemental will hear the call and will often manifest when an entire civilization wishes for an end to life. At other times, it will appear when there is a sudden and great loss of life, summoned by the remnants of the souls passing on still screaming out for justice. Regardless of the circumstances around its summoning, its existence is fueled by the souls of thousands. For as long as they have the will to sustain it, the Death Elemental will hunt down their tormentors and repay barbarism with oblivion.
