A charming 19th century French Directoire style petite chest handcrafted of mélèze (European larch) in the Alsace region of eastern France, circa 1850s. The rectangular plank top rests above a bank of three drawers — one long drawer over two short ones — each framed with simple molded panels and fitted with original brass shell-form bin pulls.
