New workshop with Celia Pym!  Celia joins us for a wonderful workshop on mending socks to celebrate the launch of her new book- Socks, Imaginative Mending.

Saturday 31 st January 2026
1.30-3.30pm

After the class we'll also have a FREE event SOCKS Salon with Celia Pym From 4.30-6.30pm,- to celebrate Pym's new book SOCKS Imaginative Mending, please join us for sock darning and book signing!

Discover the gentle art of sock repair in our SOCK Mending Workshop. With Celia's guidance you'll explore why mending matters, how it’s done, and the joy that comes from giving beloved socks a longer life.

During the session, you’ll delve into inspiring examples of artists working with repair, and you’ll learn two beautiful and practical techniques: woven darning and duplicate stitch. We’ll provide a selection of factory “waste socks” for you to practice on, but please feel free to bring along any well-worn favourites—holes and all. We always love seeing them and finding creative ways to mend each pair.

All materials are included: yarns, needles, and darning eggs.

This workshop is suitable for everyone, from complete beginners to those with some mending experience. No prior darning, knitting, or needlework knowledge is needed—just curiosity and a willingness to stitch.

About Celia
Celia Pym has been exploring mending since 2007 with extensive experience of
small everyday holes, at heels, elbows, in pockets as well as working on more
dramatic damage, from water damage, animal nesting and moths issues. Celia’s
interests are around the evidence of damage – through repair you look closely at
where garments and cloth have got worn down and thin. In clothing this wearing is
often to do with use and how the body moves. Celia says: “I like that darning is often
small acts of care and paying attention to where things fray and wear out.”
This special workshop coincides with the publication of Celia’s new book SOCKS
imaginative mending – documenting a recent commission where she taught a whole
primary school how to darn a sock.

Looks nice, but rusted after 6 months of use
Color: Black
The caddy was aesthetically pleasing, with enough room to hold my dish soap, hand-soap and sponge as well as a brush. I really love how it looks, but only after 6 months of using this, the wires in the holder is already rusted. It looks nice but not really of good quality.

Best organizer with a water spout to keep them counter dry!
Color: Black - 9.25″, Color: Black - 9.25″
I am thoroughly impressed with this product. I tried a product that goes over the middle of the sink and it blocked everything off and would always fall off in a funny ways. I had no room for my pots and pans and started getting irritated with it. This is up and out of the way has a little spicket to drain off the water and as you can see I got all of my sponge and soaps in the same spot which is wonderful cleaned off my counter beautifully. I chose the color black to blend in with my black countertop and also to look nice and clean on the counter. One of the best organizers I have ever found for a countertop. It's sturdy metal so far seems rust resistant, but I haven't had it long enough to know for sure. Mobilize easily to clean. Fabulous little sink caddy. I highly recommend to those of you that like to be organized and keep your counter nice and dry, and still arrange things so that it can be out of the way.
