Are you interested in British history or law enforcement history? This vintage Mid-Anglian Constabulary Custodian Helmet, size 6.7/8” is the perfect gift to someone you care for or for yourself. It has a chrome comb and chrome Queens Crown helmet plate. There is a chrome band with rosettes and a single vent either side. Inside it has a leather sweat band which is stamped with "6 7/8" and the maker mark (not completely readable). The conical shaped outside is either Black felt or a serge-like material with vent holes over a hard form. The brim is trimmed with plastic, features a leather adjustable sweatband, & a chin strap cup. It measures approx. 10" tall to the Cocks Comb with a Metal Crest. The two piece 4 " tall Silver Metal Badge Plate has a Silver Front. It says "Mid-Anglia Constabulary" with a crest in the center. The Crown at the top of the Badge Plate is the St. Edwards designed Crown that has been used since 1952 with the accession of the Reigning Queen, Elizabeth II.
