Update: Thanks to your generosity, Lilo received the medical treatment she needed. She spent weeks recovering at a foster home. The shelter shared that she has made a full recovery and found a forever home.
She is now living her best life and sends her thanks for your support.
Lilo was rescued and brought to a nearby shelter, but soon after she arrived her health began to crash. She became weak, unsteady, and her body temperature dropped, so staff rushed her to an emergency hospital.
X-rays revealed a tear in Lilo’s bladder that was leaking fluid into her abdomen. She needs a life-saving procedure that will involve catheters and IV medications to drain the fluid from her stomach and stabilize her condition. Without this immediate care, her condition will worsen and become more difficult to treat.
Lilo remains under close watch. With ongoing treatment and support, she’ll be able to make a full recovery from this injury.
Without continued care for her torn bladder, Lilo’s recovery could be at risk.
You can help Lilo get the treatment she needs to heal. Your gift will not only give her the hope to keep fighting, but your donations will help cover her ongoing care.
Greater Good Charities works to provide emergency medical care to pets in shelters around the world and meet other critical needs, including food, supplies, transportation, sterilization, and disaster relief. With your donation, you can help save the lives of animals like these by covering their care.
Help us meet our goal of $6,000 for Lilo and pets like her.
