Radiant Green is a tough one to mix on a palette. Gamblin have reached their vision of the perfect Radiant Green by mixing a base of Phthalo Green with a generous helping of Hansa Yellow. And without those two colors on your palette, there’s no way to get to the bright intensity of Radiant Green.
Radiants work together as a system of accent colors that also enable artists to easily and predictably punch-up the color and intensity in their paintings. Radiants also allow painters to warm-up or cool-down mixtures without darkening them as well as lighten mixtures without losing chroma. Radiants can also neutralize complementary colors into more nuanced mixtures.
