Step into a world transformed by catastrophe with 'After the Apocalypse' by Sre?ko Horvat. This compelling read redefines the concept of apocalypse, urging us to view it through the lens of revelation rather than simply an ending. In this profound philosophical inquiry, Horvat examines the various interconnected threats we face today, including the climate crisis, nuclear dangers, and global pandemics. Each page delivers a thought-provoking exploration of our current existential dilemmas, emphasizing the need for urgent action to prevent extinction. As the world grapples with crises ranging from climate change to socio-political upheavals, Horvat draws inspiration from the overlooked philosopher Günther Anders to propose a concept he calls 'eschatological tipping points.' These tipping points are essential to understanding our choices; the struggle now is not merely between socialism and barbarism, but rather a radical reinvention of our world or facing the possibility of mass extinction.
Travel with Horvat as he explores haunted sites like Chernobyl, the Mediterranean, and the Marshall Islands, all while reflecting on the impact of COVID-19. 'After the Apocalypse' serves as an urgent manifesto for those ready to confront today’s realities while fighting for tomorrow.
This brand new book, published by John Wiley & Sons (UK) in 2021, spans 180 thought-provoking pages and is a must-read for those interested in philosophy, environmental issues, and the future of humanity.

Description:
In this post-apocalyptic rollercoaster ride, philosopher Sre?ko Horvat invites us to explore the Apocalypse in terms of Ârevelation™ (rather than as the Âend™ itself). He argues that the only way to prevent the end “ i.e., extinction “ is to engage in a close reading of various interconnected threats, such as climate crisis, the nuclear age and the ongoing pandemic. Drawing on the work of neglected philosopher GĂĽnther Anders, this book outlines a philosophical approach to deal with what Horvat, borrowing a term from climate science and giving it a theological twist, calls Âeschatological tipping points™. These are no longer just the nuclear age or climate crisis, but their collision, conjoined with various other major threats “ not only pandemics, but also the viruses of capitalism and fascism. In his investigation of the future of places such as Chernobyl, the Mediterranean and the Marshall Islands, as well as many others affected by COVID-19, Horvat contends that the Ârevelation™ appears simple and unprecedented: the alternatives are no longer socialism or barbarism “ our only alternatives today are a radical reinvention of the world, or mass extinction.
After the Apocalypse is an urgent call not only to mourn tomorrow™s dead today but to struggle for our future while we can.

Beautiful design, perfect quality for seasoned destroyers.
Color: Crinkle Duck (Yellow), Size: Large
Absolutely adorable, excellent quality, I have a couple of monsters whose teeth make any kong toy tremble, I was very concerned whether something as soft and nice would last. So far so good.
Good looking and soft and tough at the same time!.

Best fun indestructible toy
Color: Crinkle Duck (Yellow), Size: Large
Truly indestructible no matter how much our oittie tries. She has owned it for three months works at destroying every day with no success. She carries it everywhere. Best purchase for chewer, more fun than the popular rubber heavy duty toy. Do not hesitate your pup will thank you for this fun distraction.

Long lasting ducks
Color: Crinkle Duck (Yellow), Size: Large
My dog hasn’t ripped this one open and she enjoys the crinkle. The squeaker has stopped, but it still has crinkle. It’s also really easy to clean. She has 3 in total.
