Ready to tackle making clothes fit better? Alterations 201 is a hands-on, confidence-building class focused on working with your own garments. Practical, supportive, and all about a better fit.

You’ll work with the instructor as a group to analyze fit issues and complete at least one alteration during class. Bring a few garments to choose from, and together you’ll choose the best candidate. You’ll leave with a finished alteration and the skills to do more at home.

Who It’s For

Great for advanced beginners who already know the basics of garment sewing and want to alter their own clothes. Ideal if you’ve sewn a few projects or taken our intro alterations class.

Materials

Provided: Sewing machine, thread, fabric shears, pins, marking tools, measuring tape, and iron
Needed: 3–4 garments with light to moderate fit issues (include at least one item needing hemming)
