It's no real secret that Fender has a knack for compact, workhorse amps – to commemorate this lack of secret, we have the Fender Blues Junior IV 30th Anniversary. This special, limited release from Fender stands to celebrate thirty years of one of their standby tube amplifiers.
This limited edition Blues Junior model comes loaded with all the body, volume, and heat the name is known for. While this model is a classic and instantly recognizable, it does feature a few tweaks to make it its own. For one, this Blues Junior features modified preamp circuitry for a bump in fullness. Fans of traditional Blues Juniors are sure to get a kick out of the nuanced difference in tonal output this amp is capable of. Onboard, the model's spring reverb also received some adjustments as its character shifts towards a more smooth output.
Within, this Blues Junior's classic tube configuration of EL84 and 12AX7 valves summons the great Fender tube oomph you've come to expect from the name. This tube power is funneled through a Celestion G12M-65 Creamback speaker for those classic warm cleans and midrange growls these kinds of amps are known for. The amp is wrapped in a special Black Western Textured Vinyl covering and comes together with a leather strap and Bassman grille cloth.
