The AEM 21-808C Performance Cold Air Intake System produces horsepower and torque gains by improving air flow and drawing in cooler, denser air. It all begins with a cone shaped AEM Dryflow filter which uses a synthetic filter media for outstanding air flow, filtration and performance. By relocating the air filter lower and to the front of the car, cooler and denser air can be accessed. Oiling the filter is not necessary and can be used up to 100,000 miles before cleaning is needed (depending on driving conditions). A heat shield then prevents exposure to radiant engine heat. Running up to the throttle body is the intake tube which is mandrel-bent to reduce airflow restriction at the bends. It is made of aluminum and is powder coated gray for lasting performance. Replacing the restrictive factory pipe and air intake housing with this Cold Air Intake system is an easy installation process and instructions are provided. The factory mass air flow sensor and crank case breather hose mount directly to the intake tube. Some AEM air intakes are not legal for sale or use in California and other states adopting California emission standards, while others are 50 state legal. Engine air filters are important!

Just like me and you breathing, your car performs better when it can breathe freely and cleanly.
My philosophy with an engine air filter is to replace with cheap and often. You can't control the quality of air coming into your system but you can control the filtering, so I'd rather replace the filter on an accelerated schedule with a cheap product than to invest into something more expensive and have it perform dirty for longer than it should.
For my Honda CRV 2024 Hybrid, this filter fits snuggly and performs well.
