Bodark Block B-752 2.2" x 2.2" x 15.2" 2.9 lbs. This is a beautiful and hefty spindle of Texas-grown Bodark. It is entirely heartwood, and it has some beautiful spalting and mineralization features. The colors are the light golden-orange of recently-surfaced Bodark, with occasional lines of red-brown spalt staining. With time, the traditional yellow-orange Bodark colors will turn to a beautiful dark, golden brown with age and exposure to air and light. There is one hairline crack that is mineralized to a very pretty shade of brown-to-black color. You may wish to reinforce it with thin CA glue. This is a GREEN to partially air-dried blank, meaning that it still retains some of its original moisture from when it was a living tree. It was measured at 17% MC in September 2022. If you need a current moisture content, please message us and we'll check its status for you. About the Tree This beautiful Bodark tree grew large and tall on the Katy Prairie in Brookshire, Texas. It spent it's 150+ years on the grounds of what became the Brookwood Community, a non-profit community for adults with disabilities (https://www.brookwoodcommunity.org/). The tree died at some point over the last few years, and they had to cut it down. They were kind enough to let us rescue it to give it continued life as lumber rather than let it turn into waste in a landfill or burnpile. And now it is yours, to turn into a beautiful piece of woodcraft. We would love to see what comes of this lumber. Please send us a photograph of your finished work, if you would be so kind. We would like to be able to share the photographs back with the Brookwood Community and its residents. |

Unique Texture, Amazing Results — Now One of My Favorites!
This serum definitely has a texture similar to snail mucin, so it took me a few tries to get used to — but I’m so glad I stuck with it because the results are incredible. Once it absorbs, my skin feels deeply hydrated, smoother, and so much more plump.
The rice and ceramide formula really strengthens the skin barrier, and I’ve noticed my complexion looking brighter and healthier overall. It layers beautifully under moisturizer and doesn’t leave any sticky residue once it settles in.
If you’re looking for a hydrating, brightening serum and don’t mind a unique texture, this one is absolutely worth it. It grew on me fast and is now a staple in my routine!

Glass skin in a bottle
I read a review here saying this product was glass skin in a bottle before purchasing myself, and to be fair, I didn’t get it because of that particular effect, but the way my skin has changed since I started using it is just amazing. I’ve been using this for several months now along with the toner and moisturizer from the same line. This is hydrating, leaves a beautiful glow on the skin, wears great under makeup, and I’ve noticed more and more people commenting on how nice and healthy my skin looks since I started using it. I am currently going through a hormonal acne flare up, and this helps my skin feel calm and does not break me out at all.

Hydrating and NOT Sticky!!
As someone who has VERY dry and sensitive skin, I love this product. It gives me an extra layer of protection during the cold and windy days, so I don’t have to worry about my skin burning or peeling the next day. It’s pretty lightweight, and really only feels like you are putting on water almost. It gives your skin a subtle glow too which is nice, and has no scent (which is perfect for sensitivity). It works super well and makes your skin looks plump. The only reason I’m docking a star is because a few times I’ve used this I have had issues with my makeup (especially around my eyes) separating or peeling off. I’m not sure if this is happening because of the reaction with this product and my sunscreen or what, so take that with what you will!
