The PRS Silver Sky, a modern-day classic, receives new life in its latest iteration, the SE Silver Sky. A design originally conceived in a joint effort between Paul Reed Smith and musician John Mayer, the PRS Silver Sky originally landed in the hands of guitarists as a finely-crafted instrument to deliver on every feature the modern player could ask for – and this new version is no different.

The PRS SE Silver Sky begins with a carefully contoured double-cutaway poplar body paired with a bolt-on maple neck. A rosewood fingerboard bearing iconic PRS Small Birds fret inlays make it an aesthetically authentic PRS creation. Once plugged in, the SE Silver Sky’s three single-coil 635JM “S” pickups create a gradient of sound that spans soft chimes and formidable barks. The pickups are infinitely versatile and keenly responsive to strumming patterns and picking attack. In hand, the SE Silver Sky handles comfortably. Tonally, it matches that tangible comfort with electronics that are easily played to be effortlessly expressive. Further PRS features include a two-point steel tremolo bridge and a PRS Silver Sky headstock – intentionally inverted to ensure solid intonation, consistent tuning balance, and string length.
