The PPE Performance Intercooler utilizes an all-aluminum, bar-and-plate construction with durable welded cast end tanks. Unlike the factory crimped plastic end tanks, this design offers significantly improved heat resistance and handles turbo boost effortlessly. The PPE Intercooler features a 59 percent larger core and 17 rows of highly efficient external cooling fins. The increased core size, combined with fluid-dynamically optimized end tanks, reduces air pressure drop by 30 percent, resulting in easier engine breathing and less turbo stress.
Our real-world testing showed that the intake air temperatures closely matched ambient temperatures under all driving conditions. The intake air temperature was reduced by as much as 30 degrees when compared to the factory-installed cooler.
