BMW cold air intake fits BMW 530i all 2001-on (E39) with a relocated air intake point down low in the mid front of the car to capture engine intake air before it gets heated by the engine.
Features:
- Engineering developed a special 89mm diameter aluminum intake pipe that was mandrel bent down to a cold air pick up point.
- This intake pipe includes a CNC machined boss welded on it for those models with an air temperature sensor which allows the BMW sensors to be placed in the intake air stream thus avoiding check engine light mishaps. A threaded plug is included to seal off the boss for those models without an air temperature sensor.
- The aluminum intake tube is fully polished for OE look in your engine compartment.
- This system is topped off with a high flow reusable air filter to maximum horsepower.
- Intake works with HID headlamps.
- Kit includes high flow air filter, intake tube, connection hose, mounting hardware, bracket and installation instructions.

Easy Read with good case studies!!
Format: Paperback
I had to purchase this for my Advanced Pathophysiology class in my Acute Care Nurse Practitioner program. It is very easy to understand and have pretty good case studies. I like that the CD that accompanies the book goes into some detail in explaining the cases further and the disease processes without giving you the answers to the questions. It stimulates one to think!! Once this class is over I will go back from time to time to review!!

Helpful
Format: Paperback
This is a nice compliment to other classroom instruction materials. I am teaching an advanced pathophysiology course in a nurse practitioner program. This book is very helpful for students to put together the concepts of patho with the clinical setting. Will use these for in-class group assignments. Case-studies are thorough and offer a variety of different disease processes to choose from. It certainly does not offer a case study for every possible disease or clinical scenario, but does cover most major areas and enough variety in my opinion. Should be helpful in reinforcing the clinical significance of some difficult to understand concepts. I would recommend this text to course instructors.

Good book!
Format: Paperback
Very helpful book for pathophysiology. The CD not only gives you answers to the case studies but gives you clear details of the clinical Pathophysiology of a particular disease. Definitely recommend it to students going for their Master's degree!

No Answers Provided to Case Studies
Format: Paperback
The cases are helpful; however, realize that there are NO answers whatsoever to the questions presented in the cases--not a huge problem I suppose, b/c you can google everything, but certainly an annoyance. (esp. when there are multiple possible answers. The author states in the foreword that some of the cases are real; in which case, why not provide the justification presented in the patient's chart as to why that patient takes a particular drug, esp. considering that you may take a drug for its side effects rather than its therapeutic effect. . .anyhow. . )
I think if the author provided at least SOME insight/guidance to the cases that it would be much more helpful, but until then, I'm skeptical as to why others gave this book 5 stars.
