The RAM® USB-C Powered Dock for Samsung Tab Active5, Tab Active3 & 2 (RAM-HOL-SAM60CPU) was thoughtfully designed to meet the demands of commercial truck drivers, field service technicians, pupil transporters, logistics managers, forklift operators, and more. Power and charging capabilities are provided to the device through GDS® pogo pins. This modular dock is compatible with the RAM® Skin™, factory device skin, and GDS® Hand-Stand™. Access to the stylus remains while the device is docked. Included is a set of four nuts and bolts to connect the dock to any RAM® components containing the universal AMPS hole pattern along with cable clamps and zip ties for cable retention.


Look to the RAM-GDS-CHARGE-V7B1U hardwire charger or the RAM-GDS-CHARGE-USB2QCCIG cigarette vehicle charger for supplying power.

Additional Information:

Important: This dock is not compatible with any Power Delivery (PD) Chargers. While the dock contains a USB-C connector, the pogo pads on the side of the tablet will not support Power Delivery. Therefore, a non-Power Delivery charger is required to function properly.

This product will not support the "No Battery Mode" function of the Tab Active3. To support "No Battery Mode", see RAM® Tough-Case™ options

 

 

Q& A

Q: Does this require a skin or can it be used with just the tablet and no skin/case?

A: The RAM-HOL-SAM60CPU requires you use either a Samsung OEM skin or the compatible RAM® Skin™ for your tablet. It will not fit properly without a skin.

 

Q: Does this in fact come with the ball shown in the picture? I only ask because it is greyed out, like the tablet.

A: The RAM-202U (round base) is in fact not included with the RAM-HOL-SAM60CPU and would need to be purchased separately. 

Q: What case do I need that will work for the charger?

A: I'm sorry but this dock is not waterproof and dustproof. It's mostly used in indoor applications.

I purchased the product and the base would not attach from the charging module. This is their big selling point. I requested a replacement and sadly the replacement was of the same batch run as the original soo…. Yeah that base would not detach. There are videos showing how easy it is to detach base from charging module. Not theses units. Circle Joy customer service is an @gmail.com. They said base is not designed to be removed frequently. I reminded them the separation feature is their highlighted feature. I was just looking for a base. Circle Joy said no…. If I do not like either unit just return them to Amazon.???? In the meantime, after maybe a dozen grinds, the original unit quit grinding normally and would barely grind at all. I shook it out and it worked again but doesn’t sound right. Two takeaways: 1) Poor product quality. 2) I am sooo done with trying to work with Amazon on replacement items. Save yourself a tone of aggravation and just return the order and reorder if you dare. Otherwise good looking and heavy feel and works great about 10 times. Too bad so sad. Now I have this huge return hassle with Amazon.
