Philadelphia-based R&B/Neo-Soul artist Taalib Hassan Johnson, better known as Musiq Soulchild, released his fourth studio album Luvanmusiq in 2007. Luvanmusiq is also the first Musiq album to be released by Atlantic Records after leaving Def Jam's Def Soul imprint.  

The first single, "B.U.D.D.Y.," released in late 2006, is a nod to De La Soul's "Buddy" from 3 Feet High and Rising. The album debuted at #1 on the Billboard charts off the strength of the lead single and follow-up single "Teachme." The album was nominated for Best R&B album at the Grammys in 2008, along with the single "B.U.D.D.Y." for Best Male R&B Vocal Performance. 

Out of print on vinyl since its original release in 2007, Get On Down, in partnership with Rhino Records, is proud to present a limited-edition reissue on split red-and-clear sparkled vinyl, limited to 1000 copies.
