Cast Bronze, Hand-Finished in Two Patinas

This piece is cast using the traditional lost-wax method, building up the form layer by layer before hand-finishing brings the surface to its final character. The figure carries a warm, rich brown bronze patina, lending the skin a luminous depth, while the lotus flower platform and stem are finished in a contrasting green verdigris oxidation patina, evoking the waterlogged root from which the flower rises. The two finishes work in deliberate tension: warmth above, cool mineral tone below.

At 320kg and 250cm, this sculpture commands space. It is scaled for outdoor placement in gardens, beside water features, on stone terraces, or at the axis of a formal landscaped ground. The verdigris stem reads naturally against water and planting; the warm figure holds its own against open sky.
