This is an iconic mid-century tableware design from Wedgwood that first appeared in 1965. It was available in two different color glazes — this, the burnt-orange version called 'Pennine' and a pale green vitrified glaze called 'Cambrian'. At the time of listing, we have a total of 10 trios available, each consisting of a cup, saucer, and bread/slide plate.
Designed by Eric Owen, the range was described by Wedgwood as "The Shape for Modern Living". With a chunky and textured appearance (based on a crisply-modeled relief pattern similar to the form of a pinecone), the range was enthusiastically received and remained in full production until the early 1980s.
All items are in excellent vintage condition with no chips or cracks, or evidence of significant wear (please examine the photos).
