Respect for the flag is very important to me. I had volunteered to present flag etiquette to 5th grade social studies class. After the presentation, I realized I need to find something easier for them to comprehend. Purchased to help me share with younger students.

Perfect book!
Format: Hardcover
Great book! I used it for a co-op lesson about the flag and kids ages 5-11 enjoyed it. Good history, I liked that they cover the proper ways to respect a flag at the end.

Sweet book
Format: Hardcover
This is my 21 month old daughter's current favorite book! Richard Scarry's illustrations are so delightful and I like the content of this book teaching important concepts of good manners. We now refer back to this book often and make up new concepts like "The Polite Elephant knows we use our inside voices inside!" I sort of wish the book emphasized some different things, like apologies, asking permission, tidying up etc but it's a great starting place. Some other reviews mentioned the manners in this book are obsolete but other than "tipping one's hat" I don't really agree that that's the case.
