Best For Preventing Scars

My dermatologist recommended this cream to me years ago, and it is the only one I have found that actually prevents scarring. It is very thick and has a horrible texture, but it is the best for moisturizing and scar prevention. It is just one of those creams that I think it is only great to use as a nighttime extra moisture cream. Just know that it is very thick and oily, and it does leave a bit of a film.

This Aquaphor ointment has been the best thing combined with the cotton white gloves for my dry and cracked fingers. This is a very thick product, almost Vaseline-like in consistency (it's main ingredient is petrolatum). If you apply it to dry skin, it's going to be very difficult to spread and not do you much good. Apply to damp skin after a bath or shower to facilitate application, hold the moisture from the water in your skin, and give you the best results.
