The steel used is SLD-Magic, a high-quality Japanese steel with a chemical composition very similar to the American D2. This gives it excellent hardness, which we've tested to be 60-61 HRC.

What truly sets our knives apart is our unique hand-applied surface treatment. Each blade is meticulously crafted to feature stunning layered patterns or intricate textures, a level of artistry rarely found in knives at this price point. In fact, it's nearly impossible to find hand-polished finishes like ours for under $200.

As a passionate enthusiast of Japanese swords, I design my blades to reflect the aesthetics of traditional samurai sword patterns. The variations in luster and texture are authentic and dynamic, achieved through careful hand polishing, rather than artificial coatings or etching.

This knife measures 7 inches in total length, with a 3-inch blade and a 4-inch closed length. It's a compact folding knife, making it ideal for everyday carry.

This knife is pure and simple—I have nothing to brag about. It's just a knife. The blade features our North Mountain Blade Classic Japanese knife-style finish, made from three-layer steel, like a sandwich. The blade is handcrafted, resulting in different color tones and a polished, near-mirror finish that looks pleasing to the eye. It's also very sharp, capable of easily cutting through almost anything. Of course, don't use it to cut metal...

It opens smoothly with ceramic bearings, and the main pivot screw on the handle is hidden. The knife uses a liner lock with a shallow lockup, allowing for long-term use without compromising the locking mechanism. The handle is skeletonized on the inside.
