Crankshaft Bearing Options :
Polymer Cage – Best suited for racing applications. It offers more flexibility and reduced friction compared to metal cages.
Metal Cage – Ideal for regular street use. It’s more durable and better suited for long-term stress.
Both versions are SKF-approved and can handle speeds up to 20,000 RPM. Proper lubrication and installation are key for long-lasting performance.
Why Choose Polymer-Cage Bearings :
Polymer bearings offer increased elasticity and reduced friction, making them a great choice for racing engines. However, they require attention to carburetor and ignition settings, as they are only rated to heat up to a maximum of 120°C to avoid damage to the plastic cage. Note: Only use the polymer cage version on engines without a catalytic converter!
Installation Tip :
When installing the bearings, make sure the half-open side faces the crankshaft webs.
The new orange FKM oil seals are made with cutting-edge technology, providing a longer lifespan and lower friction compared to older models, boosting engine efficiency.
