Muscle Up – a versatile protein supplement for horses

Muscle Up is a 100% natural, highly effective and versatile protein supplement and muscle mass builder for horses.

Muscle Up contains: linseed meal, pea protein, buckwheat, fenugreek flour, pumpkin seeds, spirulina, bee pollen, and a pinch of love 🧡 .

Proteins are built from amino acids (20 in total), of which approximately ten are essential depending on the animal species. The horse cannot produce essential amino acids on its own and must obtain them from its diet. The most important essential amino acids for horses are lysine, methionine and threonine. Proteins are needed in all cells of the body, but especially for building the horse's musculature. The horse's body composition is 65% water and 20% protein. If the horse receives too little protein from its feed, it cannot maintain and develop muscle mass. In foals, growth may in turn be slowed down.

Proteins consist of one or more chains formed by amino acids. Muscle Up has an exceptionally versatile amino acid profile, making it an excellent protein supplement for horses. It helps ensure the protein requirements of even heavily trained horses and supports muscle mass development and the maintenance of muscular function. Muscle Up provides the diet with a versatile amino acid profile and protein as part of the horse's daily diet, especially in situations where attention needs to be paid to the protein content of the diet.

  • Pea protein* has an excellent amino acid profile and contains particularly high amounts of L-glutamine. L-glutamine is especially important during and after exercise, as exertion can cause cellular glutamine levels to drop by as much as 50%. The result is muscular inefficiency and the body's potential need to use muscle for energy, especially if the exertion continues for a prolonged period. However, supplementing glutamine as a complementary feed can prevent this drop in glutamine levels, allowing the muscle to remain effective for longer and recover from exertion more quickly. Gluten-free pea protein made from yellow peas is well absorbed by the body and is also a good choice for sensitive stomachs.
  • Buckwheat is an almost perfect source of protein. It is rich in high-quality proteins, potassium and amino acids. It also has blood sugar-balancing properties and is gluten-free.
  • Linseed meal is a protein supplement that also contains fibre that supports digestion as well as healthy omega fatty acids (linolenic and linoleic acid). A healthy stomach and well-functioning digestion also help with efficient nutrient absorption into the body.
  • Fenugreek seeds are an excellent source of protein for horses that have difficulty building muscle mass. Also an excellent protein source for older and poorly conditioned horses. Speeds up recovery. In addition to protein, fenugreek seeds contain iron, phosphorus and lysine and are also a good source of selenium.
  • Spirulina is rich in protein as well as vitamins, minerals and carotenoids. Spirulina is one of the most nutrient-dense plants in the world. It is also one of the richest protein sources in the world, containing up to 65–70% protein in a bioavailable form! Helps build muscle mass in horses, helps the horse perform better during work and speeds up recovery.
  • Pumpkin seeds contain 23–25 grams of protein / 100 g. They are rich in potassium, zinc, selenium, manganese, magnesium, iron, phosphorus, copper and zinc, as well as B-group vitamins such as thiamine, vitamin B6 and folate, and vitamin K. In addition to beneficial omega fatty acids, the seeds contain alpha-tocopherol, i.e. natural vitamin E: 34,5 mg / 100g! Vitamin E is important for the function of the muscles and nervous system.
  • Bee pollen is an extremely nutrient-dense food. It naturally contains protein and vitamins. The nutrients in bee pollen are rapidly absorbed for use by the body and are an excellent nutrient for older, convalescent, weakened or fatigued horses. Also excellently suited for competition horses. Bee pollen contains on average approximately 25 percent protein.

*********

The horse's need for amino acids/protein is largely governed by its physiological requirements. The horse's protein requirement is linked to its energy requirement. An adult horse needs approximately 6 grams of protein per megajoule of energy value. Therefore, if the horse's energy requirement increases due to e.g. exertion, pregnancy or lactation, the protein requirement also increases.

*** Anti-doping screening (FCS/HSPS)

This product has been analysed using FCS/HSPS screening methods for selected contaminants and substances that are monitored in international competition.

FCS screening focuses specifically on conventional feed raw materials and covers several known risk substances, such as caffeine, theobromine, morphine, scopolamine, theophylline, atropine and hordenine.
HSPS screening is aimed at plant- and herbal-based raw materials, where natural variation in compounds is greater, and it extends the analysis to cover several other similar substances, such as reserpine, ephedrine and capsaicin.

Screening is part of product quality management and transparency in situations where competition use requirements are also taken into account in feeding.

Analysis certificates available upon request.

Quit working after 30 days
Color: Black
This can opener worked fine for the first couple of weeks. It stopped working several days ago and even though I had recharged it, it would not turn on. I thought I would give it another try before I threw it away since I was past the refund period so I could not return it. I made 100% sure that it was plugged in securely and it did charge and worked today. Make sure that it is plugged in securely when charging. Hopefully it will continue to work and if not I will update my review.

USB Rechargeable Electric Can Opener
Color: Black
Item review update! Disregard my first review since then I realized that I didn't have the usb cable pushed in far enough for a connection which stopped the item from charging and that's why it stopped working. Item works as described, clean cut, easy to use and really worth the cost. I definitely recommend.

Very Easy to Use, no stress on your hands
Color: Black
I am 76 and my hands don’t grip the way they used to. Too hard using a manual can opener. This one definitely fits the bill, plus I like the rechargeable feature!
