Windproof with exceptional thermal insulation, the Rothera is proven to maintain body warmth in temperatures as low as -12 degrees when accompanied by a mid-layer. Its 100% recycled ripstop shell fabric is insulated by RDS certified 850-fill power 90/10 goose down, alongside storm cuffs and a sculpted hood to protect from the elements.
It is no coincidence the Rothera gets its name from the British Antarctic Survey's research station on Adelaide Island, it is built with some of the world’s most extreme environments in mind.
Utility plays a crucial role in the Rothera’s design with four big external zipped pockets that will carry everything you need on the move. The inner pocket contains a stuff sack to easily pack the jacket down into when not in use. All of this is combined with articulated sleeves, adjustable hem cord, thumb-holed storm cuffs and distinctive baffles for a purposeful look to match its serious expedition credentials.
