In seinem Fotobuch The Raw and the Cooked zieht Peter Bialobrzeski die Essenz aus den Beobachtungen seiner einzigartigen Fotoserien über die Entwicklung der asiatischen Megastädte (Neon Tigers, Lost in Transition) und deren Slums (Case Study Homes): Ausgehend von der einfachsten, von den Bewohnern selbst gezimmerten vernacular architecture, die sich am menschlichen Maß orientiert und vorgefundene Baustoffe verwendet, spannen seine Bilder den Bogen bis hin zur Maßlosigkeit der Reißbrettstädte aus Glas, Stahl und Beton. Immer höher klettern die Gebäude, immer verschwenderischer wird mit Ressourcen umgegangen, unbarmherzig verdrängt das Neue das Alte. Verführerisch schöne Tableaus aus 14 Ländern zeigen einen »Fortschritt», der Unbehagen und Beklommenheit auslöst. Wohin soll das alles führen?Peter Bialobrzeski (*1961 in Wolfsburg) studierte 1988-1993 Kommunikationsdesign mit Schwerpunkt Fotografie an der Folkwangschule Essen und am London College of Printing. Seine Arbeiten wurden in Europa, den USA, Asien und Afrika ausgestellt. Er erhielt zahlreiche Preise und Auszeichnungen, darunter 2003 und 2010 World Press Photo Award, 2004, 2006 und 2010 Deutscher Fotobuchpreis, 2004 "Schönste deutsche Bücher", 2012 Dr.-Erich-Salomon-Preis der Deutschen Gesellschaft für Photographie (DGPh). Seit 2002 Professur für Fotografie an der Hochschule für Künste in Bremen. Perfect toddler summer sandal!

My toddler loves them. Even though they are a little big for him (which I meant to buy a bigger size) the adjustable strap allows me tighten them enough so he doesn’t slide. Color goes with everything! Perfect summer shoe!

I liked them, toddler did not

I thought these were cute shoes. They were sturdy, protective, and flexible for little walkers. And they were pretty soft on the inside to wear without socks. Unfortunately, my two year old did not agree. He cried "don't like it" and immediately ripped them off every time I tried them on him. Maybe it's just my picky son. TTS/half size big.

Great looking shoe!

We got these sandals specifically for our Caribbean vacation over thanksgiving break. They run true to size but I did get them one size bigger to hopefully last for next summer as well. They look great on and go with everything! My son said they feel very comfortable on his feet and he likes easy on/off due to Velcro closure.

The Perfect Sandal for Active Kids!
