These locally-made, hand-embroidered Inday Kusina food patches feature Indays' memory of kitchen a medley of culinary literature hand-stitched vegetables, fruits, spices, beans, berries, and seafood commonly associated with Iloilo cuisine. Each food patch is lovingly hand-crafted by women and mothers incarcerated in Iloilo prisons. During their time inside, these women embark on 'hilway' (freedom), a process of self-determination that empowers them to transcend prison experience from congestion to expression by making textile art that exercises their identity, creativity and sense of purpose. 

These hand-crafted items are available at Magenta House, with proceeds going to the incarcerated women to assist them as psychosocial support through weaving, crafting and art making as they continue to support their families as women mothering behind bars. Sold as part of fundraising in partnership with Ma Rosalie Zerrudo and Super Inday Art Project, the Hilway (Freedom) Art Project, and Fine Arts Major Organization (FAMO) in the Philippines.
