Power distribution for modern IT environments requires a solution that combines precise metering, reliable delivery, and seamless management. The HPE Enlogic by nVent G3 Metered PDU is engineered to meet the demands of enterprise racks, data centers, and edge deployments. Built with premium materials and a robust enclosure, this PDU delivers consistent performance under load while providing actionable energy data that helps you optimize capacity, improve uptime, and reduce operational costs. With a 5-year manufacturer warranty backing its durable construction, the G3 Metered PDU is designed to be a trusted backbone for your HPE infrastructure, delivering power continuity and operational clarity where it matters most.

  • Precision metering for informed power budgeting: Real-time measurements of total load, voltage, current, and power quality give you visibility into how your IT equipment consumes electricity. This enables accurate capacity planning, more effective chargebacks, and smarter workload placement to optimize cooling strategies and energy use across the rack farm.
  • Robust 1-phase, 63A input with 200-240V output: Specifically designed for dense rack environments, the PDU accepts up to 63A on standard 200-240V circuits, delivering up to 14.4 kVA of reliable power. This ensures your servers, storage, and networking gear run within safe electrical margins, even during peak utilization.
  • IEC60309 363P6 connector compatibility for secure power delivery: The rugged IEC60309 interface provides a secure, lockable connection that withstands the rigors of data-center floors and edge environments. Its durable construction minimizes disconnect risks and supports long-term reliability in demanding installations.
  • Enterprise-grade reliability and warranty: Enlogic by nVent G3 PDU is crafted from premium materials for power continuity and consistent performance. The 5-year manufacturer warranty reinforces confidence in uptime, asset protection, and lower total cost of ownership for busy IT environments.
  • Flexible deployment and management: The PDU is designed to adapt to a wide range of rack, cabinet, and enclosure configurations. It supports remote metering and integration with Enlogic G3 management tools, helping you monitor energy usage, track device-level draw, and align power delivery with IT operations and DCIM platforms.

how to install HPE Enlogic by nVent G3 Metered 1-phase 14.4kVA/IEC60309 363P6 63A/200-240V PDU

  • Prepare the installation site: Verify that the rack or enclosure can support the PDU’s dimensions and weight. Confirm that the electrical supply is 200-240V and can safely sustain up to 63A. Ensure adequate clearance for ventilation, cable routing, and future expansion.
  • Mount the PDU securely: Use the appropriate mounting hardware or rails to install the PDU in the rack, keeping a straight line with outlet access and ensuring stable support that resists vibration and movement during cable management or maintenance.
  • Connect input power: Attach the IEC60309 input connector to a dedicated 200-240V supply capable of sustaining 63A under peak load. Follow local electrical codes and safety practices. Power should be off during connection to avoid arcing or equipment damage.
  • Connect IT outlets and devices: Route IT equipment power cords to the PDU outlets, distributing loads across outlets to stay within the 14.4 kVA rating. Maintain tidy cable management to optimize airflow and simplify future serviceability.
  • Configure metering and monitoring: If you plan to leverage Enlogic G3 monitoring, access the PDU’s management interface via its web UI or your DCIM integration. Enable metering, set alert thresholds, and map outlets to devices for precise energy analytics and capacity planning.
  • Test and document: Power on connected equipment and verify voltage stability, outlet responsiveness, and meter readings. Document load distribution, outlet assignments, and any custom configurations to streamline future maintenance and audits.

An essential book on U.S. race and capitalism!
Format: Paperback
One of the most important books on race and capitalism ever written. Such a nuanced study of the California penal system that includes the racist structure of the United States’ criminal justice system, but goes far beyond to analyze how capitalism and profit drive politicians, police, investors, landowners, and working class people—white and Black—to expand the prison system in an age of dropping crime rates. I teach it regularly to undergraduates and graduate students, and it drives fascinating discussions.

Format: Paperback
If anyone has mastered the political economy and geography of prisons in California, it is Ruth Wilson Gilmore in Golden Gulag. Gilmore does a great job of discussing and parceling out the very complex and complicated relationships that exist between capitalism as a system that produces our material world alongside economic crises, and the function of prisons to absorb, manage, relocate and "hide" those very crises in the era of neoliberalism. She also skillfully reminds us over and over that it is black and brown working-class poor communities that bear the brunt of this kind of system that also expresses it's power via white supremacy. I am finding this book very useful and chock-full of interesting information for my current research. People may find the book a difficult read because it loaded with information and technicalities they are unfamiliar with, but these are good reasons to struggle with a text and truly grasp the increasingly intricate processes that determine and guide the world we live in (and the places we may end up locked in!). As Marx said, there is no royal road to science and knowledge.

Format: Paperback
I'm still reading it but its a great book. It makes me think about how much money is invested in keeping poor and people of color populations in prison. The prison industrial complex is no joke. This book provides the studies, chart and details of what I always thought. There's plenty of money to be made keeping the 'right people in prison' and finding new victims such as immigrants and school kids.
