Crafted from natural terracotta, this deep dish offers excellent heat retention and even heat distribution, allowing food to cook gently while maintaining warmth when served. The material is well suited for slow cooking and enhances flavour by retaining moisture throughout the cooking process.
Designed for versatility, the dish is suitable for use on gas and electric hobs, in ovens, on BBQs, and even over open flames. It can also be used in microwaves and is safe for temperatures up to approximately 250°C, making it a reliable option for a wide range of cooking methods.
The terracotta surface becomes more effective with use, developing a naturally improved cooking performance over time. Before first use, it is recommended to soak the dish in warm water for around 10 minutes to prepare the material and enhance durability.
