Background
Phospho-Stat6 (Tyr641) protein is a phosphorylated form of the Signal Transducer and Activator of Transcription 6 (Stat6) protein, specifically phosphorylated at tyrosine residue 641. Stat6 is a key transcription factor involved in mediating the cellular response to cytokines, particularly interleukin-4 (IL-4) and interleukin-13 (IL-13), which are crucial for the development and function of Th2 cells and the regulation of allergic responses and immune tolerance. When phosphorylated at Tyr641, Stat6 becomes activated and translocates to the nucleus, where it binds to specific DNA sequences to regulate the expression of genes involved in immune cell differentiation, cytokine production, and the development of allergic inflammation.
